BEST NAS Storage, Big power, Proven reliability, Lightning speeds, Best hardware on the market without the big price tag! Supports CD, DVD, Blu-ray Disc Media Servers.

Benefit:Combine both NAS and iSCSI on one device.

The built-in iSCSI target feature provides an affordable IP-SAN (Storage Area Network) alternative for media servers, CD/DVD/Blu-ray disc media, and more.

Benefit:Add capacity as your storage needs grow.

Hard disk capacity can start as small as 320 GB and be upgraded to 20TB drives, ideal for growing CD/DVD/Blu-ray disc server libraries.

Benefit:Modify management, security, and network settings remotely from anywhere on the network for your disc media servers.

You can modify all management, security and network settings remotely from anywhere on the network using a secure interface. Setup and administration of the NAS system is accomplished via a web-based management console. Via a browser, administrators can manage such tasks as:

    • Initial system setup including environment settings, language and date/time preferences, UPS connectivity and administrative password management
    • A back-lit LCD display with push-buttons for IP setting and system status / event indication.
    • Dual-color LEDs for indicating Power/Fault, LAN activity, LAN link/speed and device activity.
    • Network configuration including Active Directory integration
    • Hard drive initialization and volume creation and management
    • Manual and scheduled disk-scanning on selected hard disks or RAID groups
    • Security and ACL configuration
    • Disk caching rules and recording options
    • Backups, firmware upgrades, and virus pattern upgrades
    • Perform shutdowns, restarts and resets
    • Monitor all on-going and scheduled tasks
    • S.M.A.R.T. hard disk monitoring

Benefit:Access rights are easily established. Active Directory compatible.

Security is designed into the FlexNAS from the ground up. You can precisely control access to data folder or file. It’s easy to assign user or folder level data quotas. You can manage user accounts locally, through Active Directory or Unix NIS and set user and / or group permissions. Supports access control lists and SSL 128 bit encryption for disc media servers.

Benefit: Data replication to another network-attached storage server for disc media.

This flexible data storage system includes built-in synchronization support for server-to-server mirroring, distribution, and tapeless backup. The synchronization tasks run over TCP/IP using SSH to ensure secure communications. Synchronization compresses the differential blocks from changed files and can be configured to use customizable bandwidth to reduce the utilization of the scarce network bandwidth. Replicated data retains the same file/folder-level security for CD, DVD, and Blu-ray servers.

Mirroring: Creates an exact duplicate copy of data from a share or folder on one server to another. (Servers can function as either Mirror servers or clients.)
Distribution: Replicates an exact duplicate copy of data from a share or folder on a master server to up-to eight other target servers. (Servers can function as a master distribution server or distribution targets.)
Tapeless Backup/Restore: Performs a server-to-server backup. Two systems are required, one as the backup server, others as backup clients. The backup server makes and keeps backups of client data. Backup version control is similar to the GFS (Godfather-Father-Son) tape rotation scheme commonly used on tape backups. When a new backup version is created, it checks and deletes obsolete backups automatically according to predefined rules.
